Eternal growth is possible if mankind can expand into space and reach a Type I Civ

I am now increasingly convinced that companies like Google can grow to infinite, for all practical purposes.

Being able to grow food in the space is a true game changer. That eliminates the need to ship food from the earth as time goes on.

Web 2.0 does not limit a company to space - no need to pay huge shipping costs or maintain large warehouses to keep inventory.

One can theoretically run one's company at the comfort of one's couch - the only 'overhead' will be the person's room and board.

With mankind going into the right direction (towards Type 1 Civ, if not singularity), it appears for some companies and some individuals with the ability and position to profit, growth will be infinite.

That gap between those in the correct track and those who are not in there will be larger and larger, until it becomes something like the Jetsons and the Flintstones.
